Every night at 7:00 PM each member of our Parish is asked to say the following prayers for our holy Ukrainian Orthodox Church: for our Bishops, the Successors of the Apostles, for our Clergy, for vocations to the holy Priesthood, for those who have gone before us in the faith, for those who are ill, for our Parish Board and for our Parish; that God’s holy will be done for the betterment of this one part of the whole Church which is found in Johnson City, New York. We ask that you join us in this endeavor. The power of prayer is awesome - it is truly miraculous. Where two or three are gathered in My name….. please join us every evening at 7PM.
PRAYERS FOR OUR PARISH FAMILY
O Lord Jesus Christ, Shepherd and Head of the Church, I humbly pray that You
look upon Your servants, His Beatitude, our Metropolitan Constantine, His Eminence, our Archbishop Antony, and
His Eminence, our Archbishop Vsevelod. Bless their work and fulfill their good desires for the welfare of Your
holy Church. Give them strength and health that in peace they may govern the fold entrusted to their care and lead
it back to the heavenly kingdom. Amen.
O Lord Jesus Christ, hear our prayer for the spiritual renewal of our priests. As You once explained the Scriptures
to the disciples on the road to Emmaus, so now renew and refresh your ordained ministers with the truth and power
of Your Word. Grant to our priests enthusiasm for the Gospel, zeal for the salvation of all, courage in leadership,
and humility in service. Amen.
O Lord, Jesus Christ, You said, "The harvest indeed is great but the laborers are few". Also You requested
that prayers be offered for vocations, saying, "Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest that He may send
laborers into His harvest." Following Your divine plea, we beseech You, call from the midst of our faithful
good and zealous people to service for God's glory and the salvation of our people. Amen.
O God of spirits and of all flesh, You trampled death and broke the power of Satan and granted life to Your world:
grant rest O Lord to the souls of Your departed servants from our Parish, families and friends (and especially
N.) in a place of light, joy and peace, where there is no pain, sorrow nor mourning. As a kind and gracious God,
forgive every sin committed by them in word, deed or thought, since there is no man who lives and does not sin.
You alone are without sin, Your justice is everlasting justice and Your Word is the truth. For You are the Resurrection,
the life and the repose of Your departed servants, O Christ our God, and we glorify You together with Your Father
and Your all-holy, gracious and life creating Spirit. Amen.
O Holy Father, Physician of souls and bodies, You sent Your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to heal every
infirmity and to deliver us from death. We pray that You heal Your servants from our Parish Family, friends and
relatives (N.) of every spiritual and bodily ill which afflicts them. For You, our God, are the Fountain of healing,
and we glorify You together with Your only-begotten Son, and Your Consubstantial Spirit. Amen.
O Lord, Jesus Christ, we humbly pray that You continue to bless and protect our Parish Family. Guide our Parish
Board that they may always be true and wise servants of Your Church. Help them to grow in love and truth as they
are committed to building up Your Body, which is the Church.
O Lord, Jesus Christ, we humbly pray that You bless our Parish membership and help us to grow in spiritual love
and understanding. Help us to grow in our love for You and for one another. Help us to be able to share this powerful
love with others so that our Community may grow according to Your holy will. Help us in our endeavors that we may
always be your instruments of love to those around us. For You are the God of love, of mercy and of compassion
and we give glory to You together with Your eternal Father and Your all-holy and life-creating Spirit. Amen.
